Greater Manchester Combined Authority Hate Crime Consultation

You Spoke. Let's make sure they listen.

Due in part to the huge amount of work done by our team over the last two years around raising awareness of misogyny and hate crime, GMCA released a public consultation in October 2019. The first question asked whether hate against women and girls should be monitored.

Over 800 people responded, showing STRONG support for monitoring hate against women and girls. The authorities have responded by saying they will discuss the feasibility of policing in recognising new strands of hate.

However, we want to make sure that your voices are not only heard, but that tangible action is taken.
